Why Piers Morgan Calls Meghan And Harry The ‘Royal Kardashians’

It’s no secret that Piers Morgan doesn’t like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got married, the former “Good Morning Britain” host has even expressed disdain for the couple.

He got into the water when he revealed he didn’t believe anything Meghan said during her and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. Morgan’s comments eventually led to him losing his job on the show.

That experience didn’t stop Morgan from continuing to lash out, though. During an interview on ’60 Minutes Australia’ he shared (via page six) that he believes Meghan is “blatant lies,” adding, “I don’t believe a word she says.”

He’s even given her an unflattering nickname, “Princess Pinocchio,” and landed a new gig by writing a column for The Sun, where his targets are often — you guessed it — Meghan and Harry.

“The column is called Uncensored because it does what it says on the tin,” Morgan said during an interview with… The sun† “Actually, I was censored at my previous job and had to apologize to Meghan Markle for being honest, which I clearly wasn’t going to do.”

He added: “The pushy little princess Pinocchio has gone out of her way to cancel me, and she will be in for a very unpleasant surprise if, like Lazarus, I come out of my lair.”

Now Morgan has taken his criticism one step further by comparing the royal family to the Kardashian clan.

Piers Morgan compares Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the Kardashians

Piers Morgan has argued with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle again. In a column for the New York PostMorgan used Harry’s New Zealand commercial to promote his non-profit eco-travel company, Travalyst, as a way to compare the couple to a reality TV family.

Harry and Meghan have become the royal Kardashians, only a slightly messier version if that were even possible: a pair of shameless contenders whose only thought every day is how they can increasingly cynically rob and exploit their royal titles, all the while destroying the royal family at the same time. … and monarchy to which they owe their status — and playing the downtrodden, oppressed victims from their $11 million California mansion,” Morgan wrote.

He then mocked the pair for the cancellation of Meghan’s Netflix show, “Pearl,” as well as Queen Elizabeth’s decision to ban Harry and Meghan from the royal balcony during her upcoming platinum anniversary.

“If even Her Majesty apparently thinks her reputation would be tarnished just by being seen in public with them, it’s over,” Morgan explained. “On balance, she’d probably prefer the Kardashians up there swinging her. At least they understand the meaning of family loyalty.”
