The sports dream that Margot Robbie could never realize

Margot Robbie got her first big break on the Australian soap opera “Neighbours” in 2008, per IMDb, and has since made a huge name for itself in Hollywood. The Australian beauty starred in popular films such as ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ and ‘Suicide Squad’.

In 2020, Robbie admitted in an interview with Charlize Theron for: V magazine that while she could have stayed in Australia and enjoyed the mediocre success she had with ‘Neighbours’, she wanted something more for herself. “A lot of my castmates on that show had worked there for 30 years, and I could have lived a really comfortable, fun life [by doing that]† But I knew I didn’t want to.”

That was a huge problem for the future Hollywood star because she was a huge hockey fan who grew up. “Well, I’ve always wanted to play ice hockey in Australia. However, Robbie said that when she made the switch from Australia to the US, she joined a hockey team and played until her schedule got in the way.
