A new report from the website Bloomberg revealed that play station employees are not happy at all with chief executive officer Jim Ryanafter writing a company-wide email asking his employees to “respect differing views on abortion.”

Which he then followed up with a long story about his cat’s birthday, and how he might get a dog one day.

“We owe it to each other and to the millions of PlayStation users to respect differences of opinion between everyone in our internal and external communities.” wrote Ryan. “Respect does not equal agreement. But it is fundamental to who we are as a company and as a valued global brand.”

Abortion rights have been the biggest topic of discussion since it was leaked the US Supreme Court plans to rule Roe v. Wade. to overthrowwhich legalized abortion nationwide.

Internal reports reported by Bloomberg say that women at the company felt their rights, and the matter was downplayed by Ryan’s tone. Another employee said they were “never so freaked out about a cat’s birthday.”

The report says Ryan started his cat story by saying he was planning something lighthearted to leave employees with, though it’s clear the tone of the email completely missed its mark.
