While Moukala is better known for his funky, fast-paced orchestral covers of “Final Fantasy” (or better yet, epic orchestral covers of songs from light-hearted games like “Kirby” and “Mario”), this isn’t his first time immersed in the music of “Elden Ring”. Back when the first extended gameplay preview released in November 2021, he completely recreated the Boss theme in the preview by ear, so fans could get a better taste of the musical details without the game sounds. The end result? A stunningly close reproduction of the complex track with a full visual map of how many instruments are being played simultaneously.
Unfortunately, Moukala has yet to make a “Music Producer Reacts” analysis video for “Elden Ring”. There’s no doubt that he could add some astute insights to the game’s already extensive and detailed knowledge, given his keen ear and love of tearing apart how music plays in a game’s story. How much fun he had with this latest video, hopefully he has something in the works already. In the meantime you can go to his Youtube channel to drop an analysis request and check out his other videos where he’s composing “The Legend of Zelda” Themedeclares the use of leitmotifs in “Final Fantasy 14,” and even has a composer from the “Final Fantasy” series Nobuo Uematsu reacts to his remixes.
